- Currently enrolled as a full-time student in a post-secondary institution outside the U.S. or graduated within the past 12 months with a degree in hospitality, hotel management, tourism, or culinary-related fields.

For Trainees:
- Hold a hospitality, hotel management, or culinary degree or diploma.
- One year of full-time hospitality-related work experience outside the U.S. or five years of relevant work experience is required.
